If you moved to Riverdale Park in the last five years, you were probably sold on The Station. Whole Foods, the townhomes, the promise of a walkable center of gravity on the south side of the MARC tracks. It is a good pitch and most of it is true. But spend a full summer week here in 2026 and you will notice the center of gravity is not quite where the brochures put it.
The Thursday farmers market at 4650 Queensbury Road still sets the tempo. The Friday concert series at The Station fills the evenings. The Wednesday jazz lawn behind the Riversdale House Museum is the sleeper. And the food hall that was supposed to anchor the new side of town is closed.
